 Esthetician

Obsidian Glow provides intuitive esthetic services that elevate your already abundantly radiant skin. My belief is that a skincare service should make you feel luxurious and because it is a necessity it should be attainable. I believe in the skin-gut connection and in the power of intention and touch to promote healing.

As the daughter of a cosmetologist, I spent a lot of time immersed in beauty culture, initially wanting to become a make-up artist. After graduating from DePaul University in 2001, I enrolled at Pivot Point International and fell in love with performing facials and waxing. Licensed in Esthetics since 2003, I taught during the week and moonlighted as an Esthetician during the evenings and weekends.

You may have encountered my services at one of the following Chicago locations: your home or mine (with me providing mobile services), Ulta Beauty, Japanese Spa Zen, Waves Spa in the Lakeshore Athletic Club, Image Nails, and the Equinox Luxury Fitness Club. You may also have known me as a public school secondary English teacher on Chicago's South Side, a patron to the arts and music scene, and as the mother to one of the coolest teenagers around.
